Day 1 LIMA - CUSCO
Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Meet assistance at the airport in Cusco and transfer to your Hotel. Morning free to adapt to the altitude. Afternoon: walking tour of this beautiful city. You visit: the Korikancha Temple, the Plaza de Armas, and the remarkable Spanish Colonial architecture of the Cathedral and the Church of La Compañía. Then you go to the “San Judas” Orphanage where as a group, we give the children presents and you interact and share a wonderful moment with them. At night you will transfer to the Kusikay Theater which is proud to present Chaska, an Andean story, a spectacular and modern world-class show to be held in Cusco. Return to the hotel and Overnight.
Day 2 CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY
After breakfast, we leave Cusco early morning to go to the Sacred Valley. On the way, visit to the Awanaqancha or the LIVING MUSEUM OF THE PERUVIAN ANDES, where you can appreciate the beauty of the Peruvian Andes with its South American camelids. It’s also famous for its dyeing, spinning, and weaving processes. Artisans use used materials and you can see them weaving right there in front of you. Then we continue to visit Pampallacta community. Lunch in a typical restaurant in the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon visit the Seminario’s workshop and gallery (which is also their home) in the town of Urubamba. Accommodation at the Hotel in the Valley.
Day 3 SACRED VALLEY - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
After breakfast, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for the train journey to see Machu Picchu. You will arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station, from where you take a 25 minute bus ride to the ruins of Machu Picchu known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel. Lunch included at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel. In the afternoon, you return to Cusco by train and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4 CUSCO - RAQCHI
After breakfast, trip to Raqchi. En route we visit Andahuaylillas, a temple hiding wonders where important artists created their own hybrid art, and one of the most spectacular regional centers of the Wari culture, Piquillacta, also known as the “City of Fleas”. You spend the rest of the day with the community of Raqchi. An unforgettable experience: you share the ancestral customs and daily activities with these local people. Overnight in a local house.
Day 5 RAQCHI - CUSCO
After breakfast transfer to Cusco. On route visit the district of Oropesa which has many ovens; so if you’re looking to taste good bread, fresh and delicious, don’t hesitate to go in one of the many ovens near the square to have one. Arrive in Cusco and transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon free. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 CUSCO - LIMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on time to the airport to take your flight back to Lima.
