LIMA BY NIGHT AND THE MAGICAL CIRCUIT OF WATER (Half Day Program)
Discover the beauty of our capital, visiting the main attractions and architectonic monuments beautifully illuminated under the enchantment and tranquility of nighttime Lima. Our excursion shows you Lima’s impressive Historical Center. Such important attractions as the San Martín Plaza, Palace of Justice, Lima Cathedral, Government Palace, and San Francisco convent. In addition, you will visit the Magical Circuit of Water, the greatest complex of fountains in the world, certified by Guinness World Record. Here you will appreciate a wonderful show of perfect conjunction and harmony between water, light, music and images, in a circuit that includes 13 water fountains; each with a unique charm. It most definitely an unforgettable experience.
THE CULINARY TOUR (Half Day Program)
In the morning, we pick you up at your hotel to begin the tour. Visit to a Market: A different fishes and sea fruit demonstration. Try the local fuit and learn about our typical vegetables. Learn how to prepare a “Cheviche”: You will participate in an interactive cooking class on how to prepare Ceviche, the Peruvian fish delicacy, at one of the best local seafood restaurant. Demonstration of Peruvian drinks. Guided visit to a Pisco tavern and cellar. Learn how to prepare Pisco Sour and other Peruvian cocktails. You will have the chance to taste our famous national drink, the Pisco in different presentations. Lunch at a typical Peruvian restaurant. The lunch-buffet includes the best and most traditional dishes of our Peruvian cuisine, as well as typical drinks and desserts.
LA HACIENDA MAMACONA (Half Day Program)
15:30hs. We will be transfer from your hotel to the “Hacienda Mamacona” At your arrival you will be received by a group of "chalanes". Then enjoy of a wonderful show of the Peruvian Paso horse; a noble animal, unique in its breed which is characterized by the elegance of its gait; a manner of treading, that is more like dancing. Before dinner, you will have the opportunity to taking a photo with those animals. 06:00hs. You will enjoy a delicious early Peruvian dinner accompanied by an unequalled folkloric show. At the end of the tour, transfer to the hotel.
THE TRADITION OF BARRANCO (Half Day Program)
This district is known for its bohemian character, culture and as the home of famous Peruvian 20th Century writers, responsible for much of the country´s literary output. The area has flourished again, over the last 15 years and its parks and republican-style mansions have regained past splendour. We will visit the Pedro de Osma Museum. The art findings of this museum belong to the personal collection created by Don Pedro de Osma Gildemeister between 1936 and 1967. The collector was a connoisseur of the Peruvian Viceregal art, who gradually collected remarkable objects of the most varied sorts and techniques among family patrimony, that are a good reflection of the Peruvian art. Finally we continue with the visit of Las Pallas Mari Solari, British born but long time resident of Peru. She will host you and show you around her private textile and artifact collections. With her in-depth knowledge of Andean culture she surely will embellish some aspects of Andean life that may have intrigued you during your visit to Peru, with detail and colour.
CITY TOUR + LUNCH + LARCO HERRERA MUSEUM + NATIONAL MUSEUM OF ARCHAEOLOGY (Full Day Program)
Our tour of the city of Lima starts early in the morning. It includes: Main square of Lima, San Martin Square, the President’s Palace, the Archbishopric Palace, the Cathedral Basilica and Town Hall. We also visit The Olivar Park in San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, a distinctive tourist center in modern Lima and the best spot to appreciate the spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Lunch in a Typical restaurant. In the afternoon, there’s a guided tour of the Rafael Larco Herrera Museum. This museum holds the finest collection of gold and silver of Old Peru, as well as the famous erotic art collection, one of the most visited attractions in Peru. Afterwards, we visit the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru, which is the oldest state museum of the country. It’s important because of its vast and varied cultural patrimony contained it its rooms and warehouses. At the end of the tour, we drop you off at your hotel.
PALOMINO ISLAND AND CITY TOUR OF LIMA (Full Day Program)
Our excursion starts early in the morning in the bay of Callao where we go to the Palomino Islands where we go around the island and watch the sea lions. If we have enough time we swim with them in the sea. At the end of the tour, there’s a wonderful typical lunch waiting for us in the “Dama Juana” restaurant. In the afternoon, our tour continues to and through the city of Lima. It includes: Main square of Lima, San Martin Square, the President’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica and Town Hall.
